September nights

First Snow, First kiss

The sound of footsteps on new snow
void of all other sound in the dark of night
they walked hand in hand to a opening under the star canope
she turned around and looked him in they eyes
the passion reflecting in her eyesthe moonlit floor
white and pure against the dark of night
He trembled, she advanced
her touch calmed him, her embrace stole him
locked they were together in the brutal coldsnow fell, silence grew
the warmth of her lips lifted the very veil of chill
soft, tender, warm, passionate
the night seemed to stand stillt
was magic, magic of which only two hearts
of the same core could fulfill
the yonder did not materthe past seemed to fade away
all memory of insignificant things lingered but for a moment
this he knew would be forever a night
that he would never forget
for the more winters to come
the first snow that would fall for the lifetime ahead
will always have the memory of that first kiss
of an angel
leaving only the warmth of her lips in her stead
